Part 2: Business Process

Your role, as a Education Partner, will be to keep a look out for parents or students who have indicated a desire to study overseas. (Normally 15-22 years old)

Approach them and spell out the advantages of studying in Singapore in comparison with the usual USA, UK, Australia or Canada route. Tell them that:

1. Singapore is a bilingual city - English and Chinese

2. Minimal cultural shock as it is an Asian City with Chinese and Asians as a majority

3. The country is famous for being clean, efficient, crime-free, courteous and friendly

4. It is a short flight of 3-6 hours from most cities in Asia and China

5. Airfare is relatively much cheaper- Multiple return trips is possible

6. Full immersion in English classes

7. Diploma and Degrees are internationally recognised

8. No re-entry examinations required if intention is to finish the Diploma or Degree in University of Origin

9. Work possibilities after education

10. Possibilities of becoming a Permenent Resident of Singapore

Once they are agreeable, you will liase with us on a suitable education path and school for them. Once they are agreeable to our proposal, we will send you the neccessary forms for school, immigration and education ministries applications from either our Singapore or China office.

You will need to assist them in filling in these forms as they are in English. A flow chart will be provided for your understanding.

Once the forms has been filled, you will arrange to have it couriered back to us. From this point onwards, we will take over entirely. We will inform the students if their application has been successful and arrange to pick them up and orientate them once they are in Singapore.

Your time spent assisting each student should not be more than 1 to 2 hrs a day for perhaps a total of 3 days. It should be a minimal disturbance to your teaching duties.

You will need a computer with internet access, a fax, access to the Post Office and occasionally, access to a mobile phone with IDD facilities.

The entire process between a student applying and acceptance is normally 3-6 weeks.

Two fees are charged to the students - A School Application Fee and a Agency Fee (That's us). The school application fee is normally not refundable if the student is rejected while the Agency Fee (80% partof) is normally refunded.

Once a student is accepted, he/she will need to pay the school fee in full or in instalments. There will also be other incidental fees such as student pass, insurance, airfare and other fees. We will provide you with full details once our agreement is in place.

Note: An application is normally done 6 months before commencement of class. Also note that a TOEFL score of 550 is required as all classes taught will be in English. Without the appropriate TOEFL certification, the student will need to take a English preparatory class of 3 to 6 months before being allowed to start a course. Unfortunately, local English qualifications from their home country are not acceptable.

Part 3: The Reward Process

Most Student Agency in China or elsewhere in Asia charges US$1,200 to US$1,800 for connecting a student successfully to a school. Many of these agencies have high overheads and need to share agency fees with perhaps another one or two agencies in between. Many of these agencies are not even in direct contact with the schools that they send the students to and would hardly know or bother with the quality of these schools.

We charge only US$900 for each student we work with. This will include all consultancy, communications, paperwork to the education and immigration ministries, student airport pick up and local orientation. We are in direct contact with the schools and do not act on behalf of any other agents. We know the good schools, will do our own quality evaluation and and will ensure that we work only with good schools.

As our partner, you will recieve US$280 for your referral per student. Not bad for some 4-6 hrs work in Asia.

Payment will only be made to you after the student lands successfully in Singapore. All fees paid to the school and to us as an agency will be made directly to the school or to us respectively. You will only assist to pay but not be paid by the students or parents. You must never be seen to be involved with handling the money directly. This will maintain your moral ground with the students and parents and will make it easier for you to work with more parents and students in the future.

We will pay you directly into a electronic account such as Paypal or Stormpay. You will need to sign up for such a electronic account(which are free). The advantages to you are:

1. You can be paid anywhere in the world
2. You may withdraw money anywhere in the world
3. We avoid paperwork to process cheques, TT and drafts; cutting down on overheads
4. All transactions are in US dollars only

Part 4: The Follow-up Process

Please fill in the forms as indicated and mail to us as soon as possible.

Our agreement is valid only upon all conditions being fulfilled as indicated in the agreement.

You will need to apply for a Paypal or Stormpay account before the agreement would have deemed to start.

Please note that you may not be working or doing similar work with any other student agency or school during the period that our agreement is in place.

Please note that all agreements signed will be valid for 12 calendar months only. After this period, both parties will evaluate each other's performance and we'll either carry on or terminate the agreement. All monies owing to each other must be cleared before end of contract.

You will need to be internet savvy or train to become internet savvy as most of our communications, discussions, 'paperwork', payment and other related work will be mostly through the internet.

You will also need to access our websites to download forms and other such materials.

In time, we'll probably start a web discussion forum whereby all our referral partners can discuss and advise each other on the best way to do our work.

We believe in honesty and integrity and will not hesitate to terminate or even prosecute any partner that has been found to be dishonest, deceitful or plain nasty. Always approach us for a discussion if you are not sure on any issue.

Upon recieving your forms, we will mail to you the following:

1. School Application Forms
2. Immigration Forms
3. Flow Chart
4. Brochures

This will be organised into a neat folder for you.

We will also require you to pay US$20 as an administrative fee. This will be refunded to you on your first successful recruitment. This is the most appropriate way to prevent partners who are not sincere about our partnership from signing up! Please refer to our instructions email after we have recieved your forms.
